Was I destined to be an artist? Absolutely! My name is Kim Wolfe (a.k.a. Kimmie) and I am the person behind Absolutely Right Brain. When I was 9, I received my first drawing table and I spent hours drawing cartoons and Nintendo characters. Then I'd color them in, cut them out, and pin them all over my bedroom walls. My passion for art and design continued on. In high school, I took 4 years of art classes and with the help of my art teacher, Mrs. Ann Kavanagh, I received a 2-year scholarship to a local Alabama junior college. I finished college at Auburn University in Montgomery, graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a concentration in graphic arts. My working career has taken me from the solo graphic designer for the Mobile Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to a customer service representative for an Atlanta printing company. Currently I am the marketing assistant for an Atlanta based real estate company. I have continued my design education at the Art Institute of Atlanta and I freelance as a graphic artist for print and website design. My vision has always been to work full time, from home, in my PJ’s and fuzzy slippers. I believe I am getting a little closer to that vision with each day.
When I'm not working, designing or creating, I enjoy time with friends, family and my animal zoo of 3 dogs and 3 cats, video games and the wii, being around any type of water and drinking belgian beers.
